Good to be back...

It's good & fun to be back painting with the
group of women I've painted with for well over
13 years!

We've picked up where we left off several years ago,
and decided to get back together on a regular schedule of
every other Tuesday to paint...
today was our first Tuesday.

It was wonderful, joyous, artistic, warm, funny...
everything that goes along with women who connect
on so many levels and who have supported each others
painting skills along the way.

Our friend and teacher
is at it again, with us all in her studio...
challenging us and guiding us along the way.

Just when you think you know it all...
she comes up with a new challenge!

Today's challenge...
bring a photo with shadows.

Part one:
Paint it in black and white with two shades of gray.
(the first photo posted here)

Part two:
Paint it in color
using only 50 brush strokes.
We all tried...but we all cheated!
Way over the 50 stroke limit!

What a great day...
looking forward to our next Tuesday together!

ENJOY

  2. Its such a joy to be together again, my heart is so grateful and happy. Plus, I get to see all the artwork emerging like beautiful flowers, in the garden of our lives.

    1. Thank you Elaine! The challenge is...well, challenging! Sometimes not in the mood...until I pick up the brush! It's been fun and gives me the time to explore.
