My Shades of Red

It's Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving...oh no...I have a blog to write!

So I sit at my computer without a plan, opened up photos and started looking for something interesting to blog about.  I'm tired and really want to plant myself in front of the TV and get lost in the new (and last) season of Longmire on Netflix...but I made a commitment to myself two years ago... be regular about blogging, and I haven't missed a Saturday blog post since then.

So...as I was scrolling through photos the color red would jump off the screen at me.  I started to take note and thought about all the things I've done this year (which are really note able when you see them scrolling by in order of date).  There it was right in front of my face...my year in red...and what better time of year to be thankful for it all than the day after Thanksgiving.

A quick visual scroll of this year, in shades of red...

  1. ....sometimes she saw RED.... ( I have a pin that says that!! From the Whitney Museum gift shop from a million years ago! Love seeing all of your reds! Could be a fun painting challenge— by color! A piece of work based on a selected color each week—for us colorists? I have other work to do, and THEN add to that making a daily deadline kind of stresses me out— so maybe 1x a week? ‍

    2. I like this idea...sounds like a cool paint challenge to put out there. If it’s a quick daily exercise it would be fun to get you warmed up and exploring color...hummm🤔 I like it...👩🏻‍🎨 & 👩‍🎨 can do it!
