Summertime Painting Plans...

Gathering my supplies so I'm ready for summer!

Happy Memorial Day Weekend...
and when summer get's started!

I have a full schedule of events on my easel for the summer...and just getting started! I wanted to mention a few in case you're in town or near by and can join me.  As shown above, I've gathered materials to paint a few smaller pieces of art to have on hand to compliment the larger pieces I'll be showing at Art Walk and at the San Diego Fair...small is easy to pick up and take with you.  I always like to support the arts and purchase when I can...small pieces make that more doable for me and I'm sure/hoping many others feel this way too.

Double Trouble
Reception June 8th / 6 to 8

Any work of art that has two elements featured…two people, two trees, two circles, two lines, two marks, two boats, etc. Also, any diptychs are eligible as well as any collaborative pieces done by two or more artists.

This diptych is my submission into the show...
each 36 x 24.

Then there's the Big Reveal!
A large collaborative piece I've been working on along with artist

We are each doing separate large pieces...mine is 5'x40", while Ann's is 5'x5'...totalling a painting that will be about 8.5' across by 5' tall! When I said Big Reveal...I meant BIG!!! We've worked on our pieces separately and we won't even see them together until the day they are due to submit into the mentored artists gallery.  Here's a little peek at mine.

I'll be doing ArtWalk in Liberty Station and Carlsbad,
two all day demo's at the San Diego fair, along with a few workshops and

To make it easy...here's my calendar...join me when you can!
