Its a fresh start, not only due to the shutdown
for the last three months...
but I'm taking my classes online...we'll be Zoomin'
For the next four weeks I'll be finishing out the six week series of 3 different Mixed Media classes that were already in session when the virus hit and Art On 30th had to close its doors. Now that things have eased up a bit, some classes are going back into the studio while others will be offered online. Sign ups for the next series of online Mixed Media classes, taught by me, is open now for registration...those two classes (day class on Mondays and night class on Tuesdays) will start on July 27 & 28. You can register for those classes at Art On 30th...
These are demo pieces I started at the beginning of the current session,
to be finished during the next four weeks of online classes.
A few things that I'll cover in the Mixed Media
new session starting up in July.
Supplies and tools
papers and laying them down
personalizing your papers
gelli printing / mono printing papers
creating art with a gelli plate
mixing and harmonizing colors
negative painting & integrating papers
tools to make your mark and finish a painting...
just a few of the topics covered and demonstrated in class.
Let me share a few pieces from my students while
Sheltering In Place
There were many wonderful pieces created and shared by my students while we all painted in our home studios for the last three months. Whether it was a full studio or the corner of a kitchen table...all of the artist who took part in sharing showed so much growth in their painting practice. I was amazed and excited by their dedication, and it showed in the progress they all made each week.
