New Photo Tool...

Insitu Art Room

What does in situ mean?

In situ. In situ ( /ɪn ˈsɪtjuː, - ˈsaɪtjuː, - ˈsiː-/; often not italicized in English) is a Latin phrase that translates literally to "on site" or "in position.".

In Situ means artists can show their artwork in a room setting, which is much easier for a potential customer to get an idea of how art might look in their interior.  In Situ Art Rooms is an app to view artwork in different settings, it gives the user and idea of how artwork looks in a bedroom, living room, kitchen or a gallery wall...and they have really nice room set ups.

In Situ Room is one of three apps I use for this purpose, I also use Mock Up Editor and ArtRooms...going back and forth from one to the other depending on what I want to create.  What I like about this app...is it has a Beta version, allowing me to use it on my desk top computer.  This is really efficient for me as I can go effortlessly between my photos and folders to get listings, posting and website  completed.  Not to mention...working on my phone or iPad is not the best way for me to get the job done...though they do have a version for mobile devices...check your app store.

The discovery of InSituRoom has come at a perfect time...I'm updating my website, adding a shop page to it, along with expanding my presence on Instagram.  This can be grueling work if you don't have the right tools...it's all part of the business of making art.  I've been having fun creating room mock ups with my art...and did I mention...these three apps are very affordable and offer several packages to fit every artists budget!

I'm also lucky enough to have my artist friend, RedinWinter,  putting together my website shop page and my ArtworkArchive art inventory.  I get to support her life as an artist while she helps me get organized online...artists supporting artists.

The instigator for all this forward movement is a four week workshop
I'm taking at Art On 30th...
Crash Course In Selling Your Art taught by artist Brenda York.
Brenda offers this workshop once a year and it's been so helpful to all of us in class
and has us fired up to get things done!

Hope you'll take the opportunity to use In Situ Room or ArtRooms in showing
your artwork in one of their beautiful room settings!

Do you have a favorite photo tool for showing off your art?
