Student Work...

Mixed Media Mondays + @Night + Friday's

This week I finished up teaching the three mixed media classes that had just started...right before lock down in the beginning of March.  It took awhile to realize we weren't going to be able to go back into the classroom and that it just might be time to take all three classes online...with Zoom.  It was a  learning curve for all of us to be sure, teacher and students ...and we did it!

This post is to thank all of the wonderful students who joined in on our Mixed Media FB page to share their work and keep each other inspired...and for showing up in class for the last four weeks and being part of the art community of Art On 30th, even if only from a distance.

Here is a small sampling of work that's been created by this wonderful group of artists.  Some are completed pieces, some are in progress...and there are so many more where these came from...too many to post here.  I want to give a shout out to each of you and thank you all for showing up, being endlessly creative and fearless in sharing your work.

  1. Thank you for being such and inspiring and patient teacher Denise. I loved taking your class and have learned so many tips and new techniques to add to my pieces and I appreciate the guidance. It was a wild quarantine road with the class in person, then the FaceBook group to share art and videos; and wrapping up with the Zoom format. I am grateful to have been your student.

    1. Awwww...so kind of you Troy! You ere such a tropper running back and forth between computer and garage studio...and still be able to create some cool art while doing it! I'm so glad you got to be part of the class and the FB group...I think it kept all of us busy and sane while we are trying to figure out how to function in these crazy times. Art will pull us through! Hope to see you again soon Troy!
