Mixed Media Basics...
laying down papers.
I've taught quite a few mixed media classes over the last two years and there is one thing that seems to consistently be a sticking point...laying papers down nice and smooth. I think it's important to get papers smooth when you're starting a piece so you don't have to fight buckles and bubbles later on in your painting. So, rather than review it again in the upcoming mixed media classes, I thought it would be a better idea to do a video, post it on my YouTube channel and direct students there to get the basics of layering papers and getting it smooth. If you're reading this, I invite you to check it out too.
