Just in this week...

Another busy week for Cerro Home!

Nothing new with that...
except it usually means new pieces of painted furniture in one of my shops!

I picked up these two chairs at my local consignment shop.
The fabric was in nice condition, so all they needed was a little paint.
Home Plate clay paint by American Paint.

I enjoy painting several pieces in the same color story,
it makes for a nice visual presentation once the group makes it to my shop.

In this group, a beautiful little buffet I picked up at a
neighborhood estate sale for $50.
Add in a lamp and tie all the colors to the fabric in the chairs.
A group!

Hurricane by Maison Blanche for the grey
a mix of
Maison Blanche Antique Blue + Chalk Paint Old Violet
for the blue.

The body of the buffet was finished off with a clear, then a dark
Chalk Paint Soft Wax,
and buffed out to a nice luster.

I lightly sanded the wood top,
(it has a beautiful grain, too pretty to cover up)
gave it a fresh coat of wood stain
several coats of a Minwax poly acrylic satin finish.

Then they head off to my Urban Barn shop in Escondido,
where they take center stage.

The new buffet just happened to match the corner cabinet I painted several weeks ago in the same Hurricane grey and wood tone...
I didn't even plan that one!

I love how my shop is looking...
though next week the large 3 piece Ethan Allen unit in the back
may be going to a new home.
Great news that is...though it looks like I may have my work
cut out for me this next week!

More painting, moving, and resetting up shop...
I LOVE what I do!

ENJOY
