A busy week in the Sheltered Studio

A Sheltering In Series

The first few weeks of sheltering in my home studio were spent doing alot of busy work...
mostly online, sitting at the computer.  By the end of last week I was kinda over it!  So I got up from my desk and headed for my art table and this is what I did.

I pulled out 4 12x12 panels from the stack of 32 panels I prepped back in week one and still hadn't done anything with them.  I activated them with papers and paint with no direction...just play time.

Once that was done I turned them and turned them in every direction to see what I could see...I saw figures.  Several had a story already going for them so I morphed them into stories about the times we are experienceing right now and sheltering in place.

This pretty woman is all dressed up with...
No Where To Go

Content, though lonely woman is hatch marking how many times she's had...
Dinner Alone

This gal has her seat and then realizes all planes have been...
Grounded

I don't need to explain the look on this mothers face when she has to...
Home School

I had so much fun I activated four more boards to start another story...more play time.
All of the above boards are also for sale...
12x12 wood panels $150
(message me for details)

If you missed my live FaceBook the other day...you can accesss it by clicking the
photo below and see how I do a warm up and activate my mixed media boards.

AND...

I was enrolled in Elizabeth St Hilaire workshop this weekend in Sedona...
it goes without saying that the workshop was canceled...
only weeks later to be brought back as an online workshop!

I'm very excited to be doing that this weekend, Friday through Sunday,
regular 10 to 5 full workshop days online!
I love Elizabeths style and her art...this will be fun!

I'll be in the workshop when you receive this blog post!

Stay happy, healthy and creative!

  1. Love how these have a 'fashion' vibe to them. Like all your visual merchandising & design experience is expressing itself! xoxo
