Back to painting...

 Done sewing
switching it up + keeping if fun + keeping it fresh
 its back to brushes.

I just finished this powder room for  clients...
better yet,

return clients that are delightful to paint for...
I'm one lucky painter!

Several years ago I did a faux suede on their family room walls
and a mural of their family vacation home in New Hampshire.

This time around it was the powder room that needed a little attention.
Luanne (my wonderful client) choose a Royal Design Studio stencil...

...and once she got the wall paper removed, I got to work.

I started out by taking the walls from dark green to a much softer sage green
and then began laying out the stencil pattern...
which was really fun as I love a free form pattern
that you get to kinda make your own as you move around the room.

Luanne + Steven also had my favorite contractor Tom Quinn come in and build a simple frame around the existing bathroom mirror to give it a little more presence...I then painted it in a faux bois (fake wood) finish.

It seems I never have completely completed photos with the room all put back together, as once I clean up and leave...even with the very best intentions to get back for follow up photos...
I get distracted with another project...
and there you have it!

But I have almost complete photos...without the new light, sink fixtures, new vanity chair and any wonderfulness that might be added to the walls.

Oops... forgot to mention
I went over all the walls with a nice warm brown color glaze
to age it up a little and add a little extra interest.
I think we're all happy with how this project turned out.

NEXT UP...
these two customer pieces are sitting in my work space
awaiting my attention...
again...
I'm one lucky artist!

Stay tuned...
