TeardropHankys...

It's no secret...
I love hankies!
Vintage hankies from the
30's + 40's + 50's

I own so very many hankies
grouped and organized by color + style in
pizza boxes

stored under my 10' long beloved work table.

I also have a vast collection of wonderful fabrics
to pair up with any hanky I'm inspired to make into
something other than a tear collector.

I seem to be stuck on making pillows...
not really stuck if I'm enjoying it...
right?

sweet 1940 pussy willow hanky
updated with natural linen fabrics

1950's textile designer Faith Austin hanky...

Dogwood were a very popular hanky design in the 40's

So many colors + prints to play with

Another Faith Austin hanky...in such contemporary colors

While taking a little painting break I added these and several new
TeardropHanky pillows
to my space at
Leaping Lotus

You can visit them there or

Now...
back to painting...

I have several Chalk Paint projects
this week
I can't wait to share with you

Stay tuned

  1. Morning~ ~
Love your hankie collection. I have a few, probably less than 50 and just love looking at their wonderful colors and patterns. I sometimes use them for napkins in my tablescapes.
    Enjoy your weekend.
