Don't know about Etsy?
Etsy is an e-commerce website focused on handmade or vintage items as well as art and craft supplies. These items cover a wide range including art, photography, clothing, jewelry, food, bath and beauty products, quilts, knick-knacks, and toys. Many individuals also sell craft supplies such as beads, wire, and jewelry-making tools. All vintage items must be at least 20 years old. The site follows in the tradition of open craft fairs, giving sellers personal storefronts where they list their goods.
It's a great place to market your artwork and crafts,
it's pretty easy to set up and manage all aspects of selling and shipping.
Though like any business,
you have to keep current and work it
to have it work for you!
I have two shops on
My oil paintings can be found at
My vintage hankies and hanky pillows are here
Etsy merchants often curate treasuries.
What is a Treasury?
Treasury is an ever-changing, member-curated shopping gallery comprised of lists of items.
These lists contain 16 items. Members can create a themed collection or feature their favorite items from all over Etsy.
One of my paintings was included in this summery group ...
My Faith Austin collector hanky was grouped in with
other winged little beauties in this treasury...
Etsy is a great way to
get your crafted goods out there online,
at an affordable price.
Lots of help and tutorials on how to set up and sell there,
and you can do it from home.
It's also a wonderful marketplace to shop
for one of a kind and handmade items
(there are so many great items you won't find anywhere else),
while supporting the small business crafters & artists...
who doesn't love that?
Or...
you can buy supplies to create on your own.
It's all good!

Thanks for the Etsy information! Love your painting. Also ... stopped in to see your space in urban barn. Fun, fun, fun.
ReplyDeleteEtsy is pretty neat if you spend the time and work it, they have lots of tutorials on how to be successful there. Might be a good place to list your paintings!
DeleteThanks for stopping by the Urban Barn...I've been doing really great there...lots of empty spots to fill in my space, so I've been furiously painting furniture to fill the holes!
