I am very lucky it seems...
in all my years (and it's been quite a few)
I've had mostly wonderful jobs and clients to go right along with them.
It's been a very, very rare case when I had a client I didn't like!
This week was a fine example!
I met my client in her La Jolla home
(names are withheld to protect the innocent)
and painted the master bathroom pocket door
for her last August...
in her room with a view!
I painted the pocket door with the water closet
WC
and crescent outhouse moon added for fun!
This adjacent cabinet (on left) needed a readjustment in color...
so the old faux was painted out and repainted in reverse wood grained colors
to match cabinets on the other side of the room.

So...
I painted the base color, taped off the design , and got to work...
lots of tape...
layer upon layer of wood stains.
Five layers later + 2 rolls of blue tape...
this is what we got!
Old cabinet faux on left with new improved wood grain on right.
Large oiled bronze cabinet door handles and a few decorative details still to come...
though of course my client and I love the WC and crescent moon the most!
You gotta have fun and a good sense of humor...
and my client does...
Lucky me!
Enjoy!
Fantastic! You continue to amaze us with your vision and creativity. Lucky us!!
