Meandering along...

...in my studio
creating a few little meandering books
to pop into the many Altoids tins that are gathering there.

I have a whole basket of tins to work with.
Some are from friends, some from Ebay and a few choice ones from my friend
Bonnie over at We're Mad About...she's mad about everything vintage and old.

Some tins I cover with decorative papers and age them to
create small pieces of assemblage art.

My IG friend Amy Duncan from Studio Four Corners
sent me these that she threw into a fire and burned off the paint...
this is my favorite technique, though haven't tried it...
I've no place for a fire...yet!

Together with some of the printed papers I've made on my
Gelli Printing Plate and a few heavy stock scrap book papers...
I thought I'd make little meandering books
to slip into the Altoids tins once they're transformed into
little packages for art.

Learn more about Gelli Prints from last weeks blog.

to see how I did these basic meandering books...
check out my YouTube video below.
I'm excited to be adding a few more videos to my YouTube channel,
so be sure to watch, hit the thumbs up and leave a comment.
Thank you!
:)

These little books can be done in any size and make great little home made cards, travel art journals,
art notes...stretch your creativity and see how you can fit them into your everyday.

Thanks for peeking in...

    1. I'm actually taking a bag of Altoids tins with me on an upcoming long road trip. Hotels and camping, so I'll finally have an opportunity to throw some of those little tins in the fire! Still one of my favorite ideas...thank you!
