We are just finishing up week 10 of sheltering in...WOW...who would have ever imagined this in our lifetime? More than just a hiccup in life...it is life changing. We're all getting a little restless and wanting to be back out in the world...though not sure if it's safe or not...the wait and see can be unbearable at times. My heart goes out to my friends who don't have a hobby or something to keep their time occupied...and many of us aren't sure they want to spend money right now with the future in limbo.
I do find distraction in online classes, as I know many have. It's good to find a few you can return to, that are well done and don't cost a fortune...or are possibly free. Jeanne Olive is one such resource that offers many different creative classes from painting, collage, stitching, home decor...and they are well done with really wonderful teachers and so informative, not to mention a great way to fill your time.
I've taken several courses from Jeanne Oliver's site and can personally highly recommend them. I've added a link to the list of free classes here...
Of course along with the free classes is a whole library
of courses that are in depth and so affordable!
Below are a few I recently signed up for and am looking forward to diving in!
Especially the Oil + Cold Wax, I'm going to do this in oil and then give it a try with
Acrylic + Mediums
And mostly I'm excited to get working in my journal with one of my favorite artists...
