iPhone Box Assemblage Art

This week I pulled a bunch of goodies out onto my art table.

Wasn't quite sure what I was going to do with this yummy group,
but knew if they were out, sitting about...
I'd get busy and make something of it.

If you've been with me long, you might remember a post I did last year on
using iPhone boxes for assemblage art...you can see that post HERE.

My assemblage work will be on exhibit at the Encinitas City Library
this coming March and April
and I wanted to have a few new pieces to show...
thats some great motivation!

I'm crazy about this little ceramic face, so I started there.
I bought several from an art teacher who used a dolls head
to make a mold for her class to create these little faces...
I bought all she had!

This box has no rhyme or reason or story...I just loved these colors together.

BTW...the house was pretty quiet today, so I took advantage and
filmed a little video on the making of this box.

I especially love the iPhone boxes with
little compartments you can take creative advantage of.

If you look close in this piece you'll see how handy those compartments are.
A fitting title for this box may end up being..."Finding Your Roots".

I always finish off the boxes front and back, sides and bottoms...
everything gets my attention.

These three pieces aren't completely finished yet.
I think I may title and write a little story to attach to the back of each
before they go on display at the library.

But for now...that's as far as I got.

  1. So creative! I love Mr. McGregor’s garden shed! Did that one sell?

    1. I know...the garden shed came together so fast...I love the little bunnies. Not sold, I did it for the upcoming show in March & April at the library.
