I love an art challenge...
like this 31 day challenge creating mono prints on my Gelli Plate.
I discovered this challenge through one of my Instagram friends,
the bright and colorful...
Check out her link HERE if you want to give Gelli printing a try...
Birgit gives great print examples and even some free tutorials along the way.
Here are a few examples of my first few days.
Yes...I've already fallen behind, though with good reason.
I've been helping my son and daughter in law pack up and
get ready to move to Austin Texas.
Exciting times, that have left me little time for studio play...
though I'm pretty confident that I'll catch up...gulp!
First prompt...Circles
I also made time to take those fresh Gelli printed pages and
create a couple of mixed media pieces.
You may remember me doing a post on Gelli printing when I first discovered this cool tool...
you can check it out at
Here are a few more pages from the stack of prints I've made this week from the prompts.
Once you get the Gelli plate and your paints out...you just can't stop printing.
If you're curious and want to start mono printing on a gelli plate,
here's a link to get you started.
ENJOY!
Gelli prints look so fun! Saw your assemblage exhibit at The Encinitas Library and it was very well done and each piece was intriguing. Great work!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Jill, glad you got to take a look at my pieces in the Library. We'll be playing with Gelli lates this week at Betsys...hope you'll be there to play too.
