A Week In The Life Of An Artist.

My friends often ask me, as friends often do...

"what's new, what's going on, what's happening with you?"

Breakthrough or Breakdown?

Today I had a breakthrough...

Tripping Up

Getting a good start... and then tripping up is part of being an artist.

Text + Texture

Me...

adding text and texture into mixed media art pieces.

Feijoa...

Discovering a new fruit...then painting it.

Recycling Life (still life)...

While I was looking for a few canvases in my studio to throw some paint on...

I came across a brilliant idea!

Goin' BIG...

Taking it to the next step...

100 Day Project

Time again,  to take on another everyday art practice.

I'll be using this book I just purchased for $1 at a thrift store

and altered to be an art journal.

Each day, for 100 days, I'll be doing one full layout in my art journal.

Another Art Challenge...

 I love an art challenge...

like this 31 day challenge creating mono prints on my Gelli Plate.

The Art Girls...

 This is us...

minus a few important members missing from today's painting get together.

Faux Enchaustic

This weeks inspiration in my studio

came from my anticipation of an online class I'm starting next week from

Art Do Over

I have a stash in my studio of paintings from the past...
sometimes hard to let go of.

These are three of those paintings and I just
recreated them into something different.

A Do Over

70-day Challenge, Part 2

Half time check-in…

Remember that 70-day Van Gogh art challenge I started back in May?

Well, I’m 38 days in, and going strong! Here’s an update on my progress.
