...a wonderful painting surface for art.
I think I may have mentioned Venetian Plaster before...maybe HERE.
I'm experimenting with it again and sharing that in a workshop today (July 27) at
Art On 30th...
I'm pretty excited about that!
Here are a few pieces I shared in that recent post,
where I used Venetian plaster as my background.
I love how smooth it is and the finish you just can't get with paint
...it's wonderful to work on!
Below are the latest two pieces just finished.
I used Venetian plaster over an already crackled finish and
left part of the base finish and color peeking through.
I also used gold leaf for some of the detail in the china pieces...
along with my fav Payne's Gray that I shared in last weeks post.
All you need is a trowel and some plaster.
Decora Company has Venetian plasters on sale right now,
and you can have color added when you order.
I hope I've encouraged you to give it a try...I'm pretty sure you will love it!
